Default tyre rub

i have a 94 disco with a 3" ome lift, i have serious tyre rub, when full lock is used either left or right, the noise comes from the inside not the fenders, btw i have trxus 255/85r16 tyres. do i need to get wheel spacers or would a body lift help?
any&all suggestions welcome!

On flat ground a spring lift will produce a similar effect as a body lift. The simple answer is that you need to cut your guards and add flares. Then change the offset on your rims so your tyres sit a fit further out. Then adjust your steering stops.
If you are going to go off-road, get springs with less lift and raise the body 2 inches.

I think body lift is ugly, I had Trxus 32's on my 96 Disco, and I have to cut a little bit of the inside on the back, and I had an ARB on the front which wasn't a problem at all, you might have to snip the front bumper some....?????

thanks, for all help, i was thinking a body lift would not be good for an everyday driver- esp considering i'm only 5'5 ihad forgotton all about the steering lock stops, i will adjust those for now while i save some pennies for some spacers! as you can see from the pics the bumper has been modified already
cheers, pete b

A body lift is not going to make it any higher than your current spring lift. But it keeps you centre of gravity lower and therefore improves road handling and off-road stability. It also allow you to fit bigger tyres without sacrificing articulation.

It looks like total ish, I say leave the body lift for old Bronco and Blazer owner's..... All in favor of not showing off their unsightly frame go for suspension lift, plus, with suspension lift you can carry bigger woman around You, just in case you marry a fat chick haha, jk, if I keep making jokes like that I might start to sound like my brother

Take the steering stops out, go to a bolt and nut supplier, and match up the thread pitch. Buy longer bolts by an inch, and install them as your steering stops. Should give you the room you need. 255's are not too wide for that truck, the way it is set-up. Just need to be creative.

Who gives a shit? Just don't turn your wheel that far if it bothers you. It's only the backspacing on your stock rims. The tire rubbing the radious arm is not going to hurt anything.

I think you should properly check the wheel spacers and discs.
