Default Whats the biggest tire without rubbing?

Hi i recently bought a 2002 Freelander and it could use new tires and i was hoping to get some tires that are a little taller and a little wider. So my question is what are the biggest tires that can be run on stock suspension without rubbing anything? The current tires are 215/65 16s

Here is a link to the sizes we recommend 2002 Freelander Tire size options The Plus zero are alternate sizes that will work well with the stock wheels.

Also, here is a tire size calculator to help you calculate the difference in size of these tires. Tire Size Calculator

By the way. Welcome to the boards.

You can go up to 225/70-16 without rubbing. Those will be slightly wider, and about and inch and a third taller overall. Fills the wheels wells nicely. 215/70-16 sounds like another good option - a little less than an inch taller than the stock tires.

Welcome and enjoy the Freelander.
