I have a 2003 Discovery and i have 22" wheels that i want put on. The tires are 285/35/22, and i was wondering if they will fit on the vehicle, and if so is there any special that needs to be done to make them fit ie...wheel wells or calibration to the RPM/MPH gauges?

Why do you want to be like every other "MTV Cribs - Jay Z wannabe - baggy jeans wearing - AXE Body Spray usin' - cap on crooked wearing - 50 sub woofer havin'" dweeb? Quit following the crowd and be different! You see some jack ass in a "pimped out" Rover/Escalade/Tahoe EVERY day! Build a capable Land Rover, one you DON'T see every day. Leave the 22's for the sheep that follow the herd.

The rims were given to me by my brother and i recently got in an accident with my LRD and destroyed two wheels and tires. I dont have the $ right now to buy two new tires and rims, so i will put on the ones i was given since it wont cost me anything to have them installed on the vehicle.

emmodg, I understand what you are saying and you feel that he/she is being a "follower" but at the same time, some people express their love for their rovers in different ways. It may not be to your liking, but that is something that you have to deal with. If that is the case you will spend the rest of your life missing out on your rovers capabilities because you are telling the escalade driving people to take their rims off .
Take me for example:On one hand, Im not gonna put tvs in my 93 classic headrest, but I am gonna put a trw brooklands bopdy kit on it from rimmerbros.com, Im also gonna change the leather to dark brown with light brown piping ( to resemble the holland and holland edition ), and I am going to replace the cloth headliner with coffee colored suede material. Also I am going to change the side door material to a tartan material ( the pattern similar to the burberry pattern ). No rims but I will replace all of my factory speakers with premium speakers, even the speakers inside the sub in the back. Lastly, Can we see what you have done with your rover? if you feel that Roverhound is being a follower, then step up to the plate and "TEACH" lets see what you done with your ride. Nothing personal, just a bit of non judgemental advice. |
