Anyway, you should love Colorado. I have lived in CO, TX, IL, OH, MI, PA +++ and visited nearly every area of the country. Colorado is best. Colorado Springs (South of Denver) is growing, jobs are plentiful and they pay. Property is starting to climb as many from CA are selling spending only a portion of their home sale for a better property.

Overall it is more conservative, but getting more liberal as it grows. The weather is awesome. Let me know if I can be more specific.

Good luck
Michael
i made the move from denver to pittsburgh in september for a job offer and just recently (june 3th) got back. Thank God. I couldnt tolerate the 30 sunny days a year they get there. So happy to be back. I lived in Co Springs, Monument, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, San Diego, VA, and Costa Rica. Colorado is where my heart is. Sorry the hear about your lungs. Is the humidity better for you in PA?

I moved to the Denver area back in Nov. with my fiance from the bay area(SF, CA) due to a work relocation. We really like it out here. There's lots of open space, no traffic, very affordable housing & did I say NO TRAFFIC!!

Housing is about half the price here. I couldn't believe what you get for your money here. Back in Cali a 2500sqft home goes for around 700k-800k compared to 300k around here.

It is a little slower out here, not as fast paced, which is nice for a change for us.

We also like the 4 seasons and sunny days.

It's also good to see lifted Rovers around, I was getting sick of looking at RR's, LR3's & Disco's on 22's.

Wow! No traffic??? SF and Seattle are terrible in that aspect....

Amen with the LR/RR on 22's... I hear you on that one!

Well, Thanks for everyone's input. Elijah and I are moving... no question anymore. We're just working right now to get some money saved up for a down payment on our home. Feb/March of 07 we're going to be there. We talked about it again (we've spent hours) and there isn't any doubt.

Everyone's opinions have been WONDERFUL! KDKG-Thank you very much for being honest with us. We've both grown up within 200ft of sea level our whole lives. I do get bloody noses with higher elevation, but did some research and found that is only temporary... and since I have not spent much time at higher elevations... I didn't know.

I can't wait to meet you all in CO really soon! Elijah is looking foreword to it too!

I sure as hell never noticed it...not even at 14K ft. up in the Rocky Mountain National Park. I just wish I could say the same for my brother and my mother. Brother threw chunks in the visitor center, and my mom did the same on our descent.

But I don't notice much, just my ears pop.

We are planning to convoy to the campground where we will setup "base camp" and then the trails are just around, in the Dillon area.

Campground is the Prospector Campground, I think it's what it's called. Be there from the 11th to the 18th.

My friends that live in Colorado, love Colorado.
We like visiting but find the big cities TOO big.
But more people live in Denver than in my entire state. So....

Good luck.
