Default Snake Foster Care?

This is a far reach, but I will be leaving for my overseas tour in a little over a month and I need to find a home for one of my snakes. Wife isn't too keen on being the "big" snake handler for the next year and a half.

Feather is a 6 foot + Boa. Very impressive to look at. Not aggressive but not loving either. Is very vocal when held aka hisses. Has not ever bit me.

If any of the locals are interested in snake sitting for me... I will arrange for all the supplies, Frozen Rats, etc. I have a custom built enclosure/window seat, but would also be willing to build another enclosure to better suit the foster home. Window seat is mostly horizontal, but a vertical cage would take up less space. A small stipend could also be possible, to help cover the increased electric bill due to the lights and heat.

I had tried to sell Feather, but didn't have any local interest. The local "independent" pet store is interested in store credit trade, but I have hesitant as I want Feather to have a good home and I would have no say with the pet store.

Again, I know this is a reach, but....

Is ok, wife has decided she will try to take care of Feather.

I had a dream that we went wheeling last night... Only strange part was that I was wheeling a range rover.

Dude, I guess you are in the military, reading your post. Just want to say, wherever you are going, and whatever you will be doing, be safe and come home to your wife and feather.

Thanks, will do.

I let Feather play in the front yard a little this afternoon. Got some interesting looks from people driving by. Then I went to work rebuilding her cage. It is now divided with the lid turned into 3 seperate lids. The wife is able to shut Feather into one side to change out misc on the other side (bulbs, water, etc.) Plus with a smaller opening, she isn't as scared of Feather making a run for it while the one huge lid was open.

I just realized, none of yall had seen the cage, so here is a link.

Here is also a link to my Big Boy's cage.
