Try to find a used Jeep CDL or Jetta Diesel. They are very rare to find on the market. They are well liked and held on to by their owners.
IIRC the Jeep diesel only lasted 1 maybe 2 model years before it was dropped.

Looks like it was dropped from the Jeep line in 2008 by going through the website. Of course the one they offered really didn't seem to be getting that great of MPG but was producing some good torque and hp.

No I don't know. One guy looked up a numberplate on the 2010 and it read 0g/km CO2 emissions ha, now that's something!

gee, do ya think? Did they mean CO instead of CO2? Given that India cranks out more PHDs than any other country, Maybe TATA has a plan, but who am I to say. Given that most cars have COs in the single digit ppms, it would take a hell of a lot of miles before they could come up with a gram.
Europe can't come up with a standard for HC/CO, concentrating more on NOX, which is so like them to live in the 'now' and not the future, NOX being the major contributor of smog, and CO being the major contributor to greenhouse gasses. I guess you can't argue with our EPA wanting to lower both.
All I know is we still can't get a good diesel Land Rover. Maybe we'd be better off if VW had bought LR.
