Always loved Landies, new to the forums
Hey all, I figured that I would finally join these forums since I now own my 6th Land Rover. My father and I run a used car business in San Antonio called Fox Enterprise and we deal a lot of used Land Rovers. When I was 16 I bought my first vehicle ever, a 1996 Land Rover Discovery with 112K miles for $1,800 and never looked back. My next was another 1996 Disco, but this time it had a roof rack, A/T tires, and the OME lift. I've had a few more Disco IIs after that and a 1999 Range Rover.
I recently came into my nicest Land Rover yet. A 2003 Discovery SE with 65K miles, 265/75/16 BF Goodrich A/T's, and a large lift. The problem is that as the vehicle was traded in to the Land Rover San Antonio dealership and I bought it from them wholesale through my families business, I don't know hardly anything about the truck. I think the rock sliders on it are Safari Gard, and it has CDL, but I have no clue what lift it has. The shocks are Rancho, and it has the 3 degree correction radius arms. When I got it the Transfer case was shot because the lift is high enough to screw up the driveline, and just from looking at it I can tell its 3+ inches easily. I replaced the Transfer case and it drives great now, but I am thinking about going with some heavy duty CV driveshafts so that this T-case doesn't get screwed up.
I'm going to be asking for a lot of opinions on a winch bumper, roof rack, and lights over the next few weeks (trying to get this truck ready for summer) so I figured you all could help! See ya around the forums.
