Hi there , I'm the proud owner of a 1985 extra long wheelbase Classic Rangie Ambulance, especially fitted out for the New Zealand Air Force.
The previous owner converted it into a campervan, with double bed, running water, and gas cooker. As a keen Fly fisherman, it suits me perfectly, to get out and stay out. I'm working my way through all her little faults, and have just purchased a later model donor vehicle, to help modernise her a bit. I joined the site ,to get help with her bad starting ,when hot. So many people have given me different ideas that I am baffled. I have just replaced the dizzy and plugs, but where do I stop ? She starts cold first time, but struggles when hot. Any ideas appreciated Mike. ![]() Last edited by Ambo : 02-27-2008 at 09:44 PM. Reason: spelling |

Welcome to the insanity. Can't wait to see some photos of it. Have never seen an RRC ambulance, only FC101 and Defender models. Welcome aboard.
