Beauty, Eh ... - Land Rovers Only

Howdy everyone

I am new to the forum and live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Drove jeep Cherokees' for years ... Then I drove a Rover

and had to have one ... so now I do.

I have owned my 2001 Discovery SE7 for six months and finally we have snow

Now, if I could just find a GOOD rover mechanic in the Toronto area, I would be complete.

Hey Disco Duck,

Part of the fun is doing it yourself- these forums are fantastic for help. There is Disco tech in Brampton, everybody talks about them although I have never been yet- I got a cheaper quote from LR themselves to reset my SLABS system.

Yes Gilles @ Disco-Tech is a great guy and cheaper than the dealer @ $85/hr. He is way out in Brampton though and insists on using only his parts ... regardless of brand. You need to book weeks ahead and he is away a lot. Still, he is an exceptional mechanic that loves to show you "stuff." I need someone closer to Toronto who also has the equipment and knows rovers. If only I had a garage [rovercom or testbook too] I can only do so many things on the street before the by-law officer or a cop shows up telling me I am going to get a ticket ... duck
