Cool First Land Rover - Definately Won't Be The Last!

Greetings from South Florida! Just got our first Land Rover (2000 Discovery II) that we unfortunately bought from a shady dealer. We've finally fixed it enough to be "reliable" on road, and trail ready! We've hooked up with a few like minded Rover owners in Palm Beach, Martin and Indian River Counties and we go off road every other weekend. I gotta say, this truck is like a virus, no matter how much we sink into it, we can't bring ourselves to get rid of it - and this thing has NEVER left us stranded off road! (On road, different story...) We're looking to add another Rover to our family and there's a rumor that you can get a D90 from overseas from the mid to late 80's for fairly cheap:drive. Can anyone say if there's any truth to that?

Welcome to the site. I'm not sure about the import rules for a D90. Hang out here for a bit and I'm sure someone will have a correct answer!

Welcome to the forum!!

Yes they are like a virus, but it's actualy one that is good for you! Before you concider any importing of a Defender please read this as it realy is the definitive of good import info on what is and is NOT allowed in the US. You can only import at the moment 83 and 84 90's and 110's.Anything else IS ILLEGAL. Just be weary of anyone that tells you different.
Good luck and welcome!

Importing info.

Good to see you finally made it over here, D. This is a great site, with some wonderful members. And a lot of knowledge on your truck. If you have technical questions, be sure to post them in the specific sections, tires, DII, etc... and you'll get some good responses quickly.
