Default Great Divide Classic Roof Rack information

I am trying to find information on a roof rack I have and am willing to sell separately from the vehicle. I know it is an original factory part, I've been told they were custom made in Germany for Land Rover to fit the 89-93 or 95 Classic Rovers. I've been told they are very rare. Does anyone know WHO the manufacturer is/was or anything about it?

I can't tell you anything about the roof rack, but welcome to the forum

Does look rare.... not sure if it'd be valuable though, there are some nice full length roof racks for the RRC available.

Range Rovers may have more info on that particular rack though.

Nope. I've called several places like Rovers North and Atlantic British plus talked to our mechanic and other master Rover mechanics. I've heard maybe Safety Devices manufactured it. I've been told it was from the Great Divide Expedition series, but can only find one photo on-line from Rangerovers.net without any info.

The GDE had a rack made by Thule offered by the dealer. Not sure if that is it but it looks familiar. I think there was also an extension piece to make it a full rack.

Was it add to your Rover cause it's not a GDE model is it?

This was a dealer offered accessory, not a specific to GDE Range Rovers at all. I don't remember which company made them though. You see them come up for sale on occasion, there is one for sale on LRRforums now I think for $250.

Correction $285 and it's made by a german company.
