Default Hello From Across The Pond!

Thought I'd add a bit of international colour to my life and join you boys and girls in this forum.

I'm an ex-pat Jock living in England who loves Landies and between my wife (SWMBO) and I we own three.

I love a spot of "greenlaning" a politically explosive activity due to the small size of our island and the limited space available to explore! Can't wait till I've saved up enough to come explore some off road areas in your back yard!

My one and only visit to the US was in the late 80's when I visited family in Mass. for a few days before hitch hiking up to Mt Washington.

Looking forward to talking V8's with you guys... the cost of fuel here makethem unpopular... most people prefering 200tdi or 300tdi machines.

All the best

Skibum

Default Mini Invasion,or what.

Hi lads,Its 5 o clock sunday afternoon,Ive got a freeby td4,orange,had a few probs since i bourght it,but most are sorted, love the thing, tows my caravan all over england, retired builder, with wife anita, live in the black country, home of the Industrial revolution,MIDLANDS,I am a member of the british freelander club, but only recently, hobbies, golf, old cars, plenty of both here, thunder storm just started, lightening flashes, unusual for this time of year in england, recently did the rear light modification, looks very impressive, extended the rear ,side lights too,by putting a bulb holder into the old rear fog light ,so at the back i have now 2 rear lights in the bumper, and two rear lights in the upper fog lights,as well as the stop lights being in the fog lights,My next project is to fit repeater lenses on the rear wings from the indicators, the original ones in the bumper are too low down and out of sight,--by the way my beauty is a 2001 model,i have done a couple of posts in the technical section about a couple of my problems,Well thats it I1m going to get the beef out of the oven, and have my dinner, have a whisky and watch the telly,Drive safely out there, percy
