Hello from Baltimore
Hi, My name is Dave and my wife and I just bought a 2001 Discovery II SE7.
I paid $6300, it has 89K miles on it. I think it's a good price. I'll upload some pictures when I get a chance. We bought it because I am moving to Dallas and needed a big vehicle to move my 3 fat dogs.
I did have a few questions. The self leveling Icon stay's on. The manual says it's an indication of a "serious fault". I'm wondering if it could be something as simple as a fluid problem. What should I look for to troubleshoot? I'm pretty good with cars having had Saabs for years. I can rebuild a transmission and do just about all my own repairs.
Also, the ABS module was just replaced and the brakes feel soft to me. Does this model require pressure bleeding? Are there any tricks I should know about?
Any help would be appreciated and look forward to being part of the LR community.
