Default Hello Im new!

Hi Everybody,

Im new to the Forum, I came across it while googling lndrover defenders and weddings. I see a couple of your members have used landies as wedding cars. I am an absolute defender lover, unfortunately I have to wait until my upcoming nuptuals are over before the budget will let me get one. I have been in love with them from the age of about 14, just one of those things I just love them. I have been an eternal student until now, I just finished my PhD last year and then did a teaching qualification this year which I just finished in June, so hence the studies and wedding are the reason I have only been able to look and not buy until hopefully after my wedding in august. Luckily my friend is a landy lover too. He has a beautiful 1981 series III, and I am lucky enough to get to babysit her when he takes off on holiday a couple of times a year. I am also using it and hopefully another friends Tomb Raider edition defender as wedding transport. Hence how I came across the Forum and just thought what the heck, why not sign up. Can any of you who have lent or used your landies as wedding transport give me an idea of how easy/difficult maneouvering a wedding frock into and out of one is ??????? Am I liable to need a step!!
