Hello All,
I have sort of inherited JC Alvarez's 109 SW and am still working up a logical path for restoration. I will continue to add onto the the "Project Wilks" thread and would appreciate any commentary any time. I am a machine shop teacher in Hampton, Virgina and hope to bring this project into the classroom for the students to see "something completely different." I have been around British cars since I was a kid and my brother used to race Triumphs at Watkin's Glen a long, long time ago. As far as skills go; I am a machinist, welder, painter, electrician, sheet metal fabricator, and certified diesel mechanic. I also know how to hot lead steel sheet metal, by the way, which is a skill I picked up from my father. I teach all sorts of machine technology classes including drafting and CNC topics. I have been working to rebuild and update the high school and adult education programs to keep pace with industry and have a lot of help from some really fantastic people here. I am excited about this project and will probably have a million questions. Again, please check out the "Project Wilks" thread for the latest updates. Best wishes, Greg |

Congrats on getting JC's 109. I'm happy for you, and sad for JC at the same time lol.
Welcome aboard, and good luck with finishing the restoration.

Awesome, I'm happy Wilks went to a worthy new home! Bringing the project into the classroom is very cool, hope you can do that!
