Maybe a little late for this but here goes:
I'm 45, married w/two daughters. We purchased two Discoverys in early dec '06 because we wanted something different. I'm a systems administrator for the U.S. army (Contractor). I enjoy survival camping (when I have time), shooting, herpetology and serving the Lord. My two current rovers are a '99 DII and a '98 DI. I'm kinda' looking for an older RRC(Rovers ARE addictive, aren't they!). Looking foreward to talking with you. Dragunov

Hey all,
I hail from Santa Cruz CA. I have owned an FJ60 landcruiser for many years. I have taken the Cruiser down to Baja for surf/dive trips many times over the years. I am looking for a Discovery 2 now. I am really amped about these trucks and know next to nothing about them except the reputation as a more than capable off roader. I am looking to purchase a newer one with minimal miles on it, and then outfit it with off road garb that is best suited for Baja travel. I would really appreciate any direction/links/advice etc. on any of this. I am stoked to be here! M.E. |

Howdy Everyone, been looking around for a good forum for the past couple of weeks....really like ths one.
I hail from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Sold our '82 Jeep CJ (33" mudders, lift etc) last fall in preparation for buying my RR. Kid was so upset at our selling the CJ we had to buy him a TJ....but I'm too old for the on road roughness of the jeep, and their other stuff just doesn't cut it on trail..... So we are the proud new parents of a 2007 RR Sport, Stornoway Grey, black leather, luxury package, Nav system, cold climate package, 19" tires, dual front fog lamps, rear fog lamps, and I threw on some running boards, chrome mirror guards, and tail lamp guards. Looking forward to many long years of RR fun!! Heading down to Quail Lodge in July to learn what she can really do....haven't named her yet...my wife just doesn't understand that she needs one. Cheers, Wayne |
