Dng - I like Tami's Rover... I would love to get a snorkel like that. I'll have to do a little research to see where she got it from. Where in FL does she live? Dec 31 - please make sure you give me a call when you come down here. |

Hi, my name is Todd. I live in North Alabama with my wife who is expecting our first child in February. I own a 1995 Range Rover Classic County LWB. It is the one automobile I have always wanted. I'm very glad to have found this forum since I have very limited knowledge concerning auto repair. I have already learned a lot from all of you and for that I am very grateful. I hope to one day own a Land Rover Series II as well. I look forward to learning more.

I'm Greg Miller and I am new to the forum. I've been an avid LR admirer for years and am in the proccess of finding a 96-98 Disco. I've lived in Harrisonburg, Va for a number of years but never had the opportunity to hit the trails in the GWNP. I've seen the conoys of both LRs and Jeeps on Rte 33West coming and going and knew that a good time was in the making. If there are any LR enthusist in my area, west of the Blue Ridge, I'd love to hear from you.
Happy Trails. Greg |

Hi all
after looking at dumping my nissan sentra (not worth s***) I searched for older BMWs or Mercs, but as I live in the countryside, my wife "convinced" me to look at a 4 X 4. Thus the door was opened for a Rover. As I had already driven a Defender whilst in Africa, and have always like the look of the RR, I took the plunge and purchased 99 with only 116, 500 km. I have researched the Rover sites and was aware that there would be issues with it, and as of less than two weeks ownership, the radio died (really dead, no power, fuse fine - went crazy before death) and the EAS has a fault...but heh, if I wanted less problems...(yea right) I could have gotten a honda... Glad to be here and will continue to ride the range! cheers george |

Howdy all,
My Rover addiction has pretty much followed the path I cleared with MGs years ago -- start with one, then find another one, add a couple of parts cars for good measure, this project and that. We've got a 1987 Rangie classic, third owner, have had it since '98. It has some 250k on it. My wife's truck is a '96 Disco, "the" project is a '69 Series IIa 109 Safari hybrid build. Two Rangies and a Disco serve as "parts" vehicles. Honorable mention goes to my wife's TR8 coupe (one of the few factory coupes), which is Rover in engine only. I've been around British vehicles all my life (which some find strange for a fellow from Arkansas). My dad had a Bugeye Sprite, my first car was a '75 MGB (still got it!), I've campaigned a 1968 MGB-GT historic rally car (car was historic class, but I raced in modern performance rally events). Even with the flakey electrical, fluid leaks, and other "problems", we love our trucks. Having raced I've got a garage full of tools, and have done engine and transmission swaps on Rovers (in the middle of replacing the Rangie's autobox right now). I'm glad to have found this forum -- I'm hoping to learn more about hybrid builds, and (no surprise) I'm always buying and selling Rover parts. -Keith |

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas. I'm new to the forum, but not to Land Rover ownership.

Hey Nic,
I like your signature. Is it there to point out a security issue or just for fun? Anyway, Im new to this forum. Had my 95 Disco for 10 years now. It is starting to show its age. I have joined up to ask a specific repair question. |

Just picked up a '04 Discovery. Runs like a dream, and up here in Snowy old Winnterpeg or Winnipeg it has proven to be a real trooper.
P.S. could someone give me a suggestion about how to turn on the Daytime Running Lights ![]() |

Hello everyone!
GREAT site!! I'm searching for an answer to a problem I'm having with a 2006 LR3 and I live over 500 miles from a dealership so I'm hoping to fix it myself....but I'll post that question in the appropriate forum once the mods/admins give me thread posting permissions after my intro. Currently a "new" LR owner (this is my first), had my LR3 for 1.5 years now and haven't had a single issue until now. I used to live in LA, so repairs/warranty work was easy (and fully covered), but now my worst fear has happened. I live in MT (military moved me) and LR won't authorize others to do their repair work. Anyway, enough babbling/beating around the bush. I'll close this post and wait to post my question in the LR/Disco 3 forum once I have permissions. Again, GREAT site guys/gals!! |
