My name is Jeremy. I am employed at Blue Ridge Rover Works in Asheville, North Carolina. We primarily work on Series vehicles, but also tend to dabble in newer stuff, minus Freelanders, up to about 2004. We built the Monte Cristo Defender 110 (modeled after the Fly Fisher 110) as well as doing work on two famous vehicles, a green South Carolina Series III 88" (relocated back the secondary bulkhead 3 inches) and the green Expedition 109" on the cover of Rovers North Parts Catalogue. We recently redid a 2003 Trek Discovery II (#6) and the 1997 winning P38 (#3). I am primarily here, on request of my boss, to gain more information about newer vehicles that he have not worked on as much as Series.

hello! I'm Chris, i am from pine beach, new jersey and i just bought a 1996 discovery se7, has 131,000 miles, I'm in love with it.the first thing i did was take that 90's radio out, even tho my girlfriend told me not too, haha oh well, i couldn't deal with the radio, but i still have my 6 disc under my passenger seat not being used i will sell if anyone needs it, its in great working order but the radio cassette doesn't work. I've come here for support and to look at other discoverys for ideas and of course to purchase parts! ![]() |

Hello....My name is Adrian and I own a 2000 Disco Series II. I've had the vehicle for around a year and a half and I love it (although it has cost me quite a bit in repairs). I look forward to reading and contributing in this forum.
****TerryS***** I found the forum using a google search and found that around 2 years ago someone had the same experience I just did. I don't know if you remember the post about the "boing" sound while driving in snow, but that exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I see that the original poster thought that it was the ride height sensor that made the boing sound....have you heard of anyone else with this issue and, if so, is it just a weird noise or does it require my attention? Thanks. |

michellecam....im from Ajax and I have a 2000 Disco II....In my opinion, the LR3's lost some of the rugged appeal from when it was the Disco II. I bought mine at a 3rd party dealer (in Nov 06) and saved around $5K from what the dealer would have wanted. I have put $6K in repairs and maintenance since then, so basically if I had purchased a repair free vehicle (up to this point) from the dealer I would have broken even. I say that if you can find one for considerably less at a 3rd party dealer, buy it there. But have your mechanic do a full bumper to bumper inspection on it prior to purchase. Even if you have some repairs down the line, the money you save avoiding the dealership should put you ahead in the long run.

Hey everyone. I've been here a while, but got some cool pictures of the DII that I though I would share some pics. Though this would be a good place to put them.

Hey all,
I'm Chase and I live in the oh-so-glamorous "village" of Bell Buckle, Tennessee. I currently drive a '95 Disco I, but I'm the previous owner of a '00 Disco II SE7. I hope to be a regular on the forums before too long. |

Tried a varity of other 4x4: Geo Tracker, Jeep Wrangler (worst mistake I ever made in cars), Jeep cherokee, But the disco is the best with the Tracker a close second. Thanks for everyone's help in advance and hope I can be of some help to some of you! ![]() |

Hello all. Name's Doug. I moved from Southern Cali to Northeastern Illinois, THEN bought by '01 Disco 2. Why couldn't I have made the purchase earlier, I do not know. Instead of minutes from open land, now I am 4+ hours from good wheelin'.
I have three little kids and a beautiful wife that love to ride in the "Lowly" truck and fling mud. If you know of some secret wheelin' places near Chicago, please let me know. I put 40K miles on it in one year searching for great adventures. Great site, tons of info and good pics. |
