For the record: roverX was the wolf who brought me to LRO. Some may curse him, however I thank him...

I think my first REAL wheelin adventure will be in Colorado so I can strap Funrover to the roof rack and make Disco Mike scream like a girl w/my off roading skills.... LOL!

Cheers to all the new members! Very VERY nice LR's!

I am going to hold you to that. Something tells me that most of Colorado will hear your reoccuring screams over my shuckles.

A nightstand is a little table that sits by the bed to hold a clock, perhaps a lamp, Kentucky Jelly, and in this case, money for services rendored....

Trying to justify a roof rack tent set-up for a trip to sturgis next summer. Anyone have one/use one? Is it safe??

Thanks for all to great information and banter.
Hey nwemerys When you get the picture posting figured out I'd love to see that Nostalgia of yours too!

Default Suppose I should

With all the younguns here thought I add some balance. I'm 51.
I've been driving Land Rovers since I bought my first, a '62 IIA 88 Regular in '74 (which I still have BTW). Over the years I've owned eight or 10 Series Rovers. Currently I have a '95 D1 5-speed, '95 D90 5-speed, and two '67 109 NADA's and a '79 Air Portable oil burner (the Anitchrist).
Rovers have always been my daily drivers except for a year driving a VW camper.
Cheers.

Man.. Young crowd. Hi, I am Ryan. I am (ahemm..) 34, Married, about to have our first child (in two weeks), have two big ass dogs (a yellow and a chocolate lab), and a house in the burbs. Although we spend most of the summer months on the boat (my other expensive hobby, besides owning a DII). I have owned many different vehicles, most were Audi's but I can admit.. I did own one XJ Jeep that I built up and took to Moab. Surprisingly, that vehicle was reliable.. hmmm... I like long walks around the park.. the moonlight in autumn.. oh wait.. back on track.. Many will notice that I do not post many useful items, and when I do.. it is usually pretty infrequent as I travel a lot for my company. Okay.. I like Scotch.. and I want to meet the inventor of the Flow-Bee.

I always assume everyone knows everyone else.
I'm Eric Stephens.
I am 42 as of this post and am of Cherokee decent.
I'm a Sooner. That is, I am from Oklahoma most notably Norman.
My Great-grandfather was a Boomer and was expelled from the Unassigned lands for settling there before the run of 1889.
Therefore with all this said I am an Okie. And I'm proud of that.

I've been in the Rover community since 2000 when I bought my 1993 Range Rover LWB. I bought my second a 2003 Discovery SE in 2006.

I have a little website. www.okierover.com that has lots of Rover stuff on it.

I am totally consumed by my kids and their activities.
But in my little free time I like to do living history in the 1820-1840 fur trade era in Oklahoma as a hobby and sometimes get in the occasional TV program or documentary.

Default Loving this site

Hello everyone. My name is Rob and I’m from NYC. I joined this site a few months ago when I was looking for a new truck. I always liked the looked of RR’s and was doing some research to help me make up my mind on what to buy.

Long story short, I ended up with a 95 RRC LWB with about 95k miles on it. In the beginning I thought I had made a huge mistake with this truck. In the eight months that I've owed it, I've spent almost as much money fixing it as I did to own it. This last time (it’s in the shop right now, the EAS is down) I thought that was it. I'm selling the piece of crap.

Then I stumbled upon landroversonly.com again this morning, and it reminded me of why I bought a RR to begin with. After seeing all the pics on this site with this mod and that mod...running through miles of knee deep mud, rolling over boulders, climbing 75 degree steep hills, etc…

I WANT TO DO THAT!!

So, I'm keeping my LWB. My new years resolution will be to accomplish what I set out to do in the first place. I just ordered a repair/service manual. I’m pretty handy and I’m hoping to learn a lot more about how to work on my RR myself to cut some of the costs I’ve been incurring from the mechanic.

I haven’t heard back from the mechanic yet, but if it isn’t an easy fix I’m going to have the EAS removed. Does anyone have a ballpark figure of what that will run me? Is it possible to do myself without a lift?
