Default Joey Disco - Newbie

GREETINGS FROM Los Angeles California! Just got a 2000 Discovery with 83,000 miles on it. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Contrary to a lot of things i've read, it's got some zip to it.

CAN I SAY THAT I'm obsessed with this board. Great stuff on here. Can't wait to contribute.

I cannot wait to take it off road. First want to make sure I prep it correctly. (any direction on accomplishing that is appreciated). I've read about a "rave cd" that should get me going? I'm so paranoid of it breaking down that I want to schedule some weekly time for diy maintenance.

Also...I need a freaking manual. I don't want to just go testing stuff the wrong way. Where's the best place to grab a manual? I don't even know what all the control buttons do.

Stupid question but...don't I have to place the shift in neutral before shifting the transfer shift to hi and lo? (such a newbie)

Anybody else in LA area to roll with?

I'm so freaking excited.

I'll post some pics today.

Disco manuals are easy to find on eBay. The Rave CD will help you out enormously. Good Luck with your new toy. Welcome aboard.
