Default LR owner in New Mexico

Having just been successful in aquiring a mint SD rack for my 95 D1 here, I thought I may as well introduce myself. I have been on this board a few times, and apparently just enough to find a virtually unused rack at what I think was a reasonable price.

This purchase is bitter sweet, because I am in the process of selling our first Land Rover, a 93 NAS Defender 110 (#67). It will be listed in the Santa Fe/Taos (New Mexico) Craigs list for all of this month (asking $65K), and if it does not sell, it will go to Pack City 4x4, probably for more money, but my take will be less then that. I had picked up a 95 D1, from my independent LR mechanic, who's employee (a professional engine builder) rebult the engine for his wife to drive. Then her job changed, and she needed a better mileage car, so it got swapped for a new Hyundai, go figure, and I ended up with it. It's going to be for my 16 y.o. daughter to drive, but it is also going to be for going camping with my son's Scout troop. I needed the rack, to replace what the Defender had, and I found it here at Landroversonly.com. I'll miss the Defender, but for the money, I can see driving this Discovery for quite a while. This is where my daughters gets mad at me. Thanks, very much.
