Default Needing help from those in te know

Hello to everyone.

I am new here, as you can tell, I have a friend who owns a Range Rover sport HSE and is trying to locate a used tow "bar" or tow "hitch" (please forgive my lack of correct terminology I alas am not in the Range Rover owning fraternity.
I have done the usual Google searches but can not locate the object he describes, all I can seem to find is a block with a loop attached (my that sounds technical ), my friend described an item more akin to a standard "bobble topped" (his words not mine) bar that he can attach a trailer to, apparently these can come with an electrical connector for caravans, but he doesn't need that particular type.
He also described the said bar to be quite heavy and that it is locked into place using a key, I hope this makes sense to some of you guys because I have no idea what I am talking about.
He also said that a new one from Range Rover would cost somewhere in the region of about £400, but he would rather buy a second hand one as he doesn't intend to use it often enough to warrant that kind of price tag.
So my question is, is there anybody here that knows how he could obtain this tow bar at a reasonable price (well, cheap to be honest) from a shop or private sale within easy driving distance around Buckinghamshire (England)?

P.S. I noticed that a Vincent68 was present on the busiest forum day last year, I am not the same person, I couldn't have the name Vincent so, as I always do, added my year of birth on the end, I thought I should mention that as I don't want anyone to confuse me with someone who may have been banned at some point as clearly his name became made available (I ran a forum for a short while so I have a fair understanding of forum politics etc.)

Thank you all in advance for any help you or advice you can give.

P.P.S. And yes if I had the money I would have a Range Rover, they are pretty cool.
