Question New guy needs help-coolant leak

Hoping to get some help with a problem on my 2000 RR 4.0. Couple of days ago it overheated. I shut it down as soon as possible and let it cool. Radiator fluid was low, so was topped off. Drove it home, with no problems, no overheating. The next morning, however, massive amounts of coolant covered the garage floor. I can't tell where it's coming from, but it appears to be dripping down the to oil pan. Any ideas? Hoping that I didn't do some major damage.

could be a number of things have you checked the oil to make sure none of the coolant has gone there? It would look like coffee with cream.

Lots of possibilities. Check to see if the cap is tight on the overflow container. If there was an air bubble in the system, it could have burped when you topped it off. That would pop the reservoir cap, andcause a leak. If you blew a head gasket, it could leak all over the block, and down the pan. Check your reservoir, and your oil on the dipstick; then get back to us.
