Smile New rover owner in Denver (former Toy guy)

Hi all,
My name is Kerry Manning and on Saturday I bought a 1999 Disco II. It's got all of the options plus a OME 3" lift, and a ARB bull bar. I am hoping to build it up a little more into a mild trail rig that I can take the family (wife and a 6 month old) camping/ hunting, fishing, and otherwise exploring more of Colorado. Upgrades include CDL (in work now), Warn 8000, general maintenance. I have been a long time wheeler but this is my first rover. Previous off road vehicles include numerous land cruisers (FJ55 my fav), '85 4runner, '69 404 Unimog, and my current 99 ranger.

Kerry

Thanks for all the quick replies. I didn't know there are so many Colorado people this active on the board. I would love to get out but probably won't have time until mid-late oct. I might drive the rover out to grand junction in a few weeks to visit family and do some wheeling. I'd like to go back out to rattlesnake or up to grand mesa but it depends on if I get my projects or we just take the Prius ($).

BTW, I am out in parker and work at centennial airport.

Enjoy the Landy. Coming from A Yota background; you'll probably be dissapointed with the lack of reliability on the Rover. I love my DII, but reliability on the newer trucks is saddening. There's a great group of very active owners i Colorado, so you'll definitely enjoy it. Luckily for you, the 99 DII still had the LT230 with the nipple on it, you will just need to add the shifter mechanism. Good to have you aboard.
