Default In over my pretty lil head

Hi my name is Amy and I just got a 2005 LR3, im in over my head with this one...Im single therefore I have no big strong man to fix it for me when it breaks and I have no clue what to do or where to take it if it breaks. They recently closed the land rover dealership in Amarillo TX so Im screwed. All I can say is, its pretty and its my spacecar. I have no clue how anything works and i've been taking it to Jiffy lube for oil changes. Hah! they assured me they're using the synthetic. other than that the only problems im having is the passenger door by the glove box leaks badly when I go thru a carwash and my keyless remote works every now and then, so I can count on being locked out of my car usually every other day. Its a crap shoot so I just stopped using it and i leave my car unlocked. i know its not dead, ive tested the battery repeatedly. where can I take it to fix it is the question?? is anyone out there that lives in amarillo and has a land rover???

Hi Amy There are quite a few LR peeps in Texas, hopefully some of them will chime in on dealer or indy not too far that you can get it serviced.

Taking your LR3 to Jiffy Lube is asking for trouble IMO. My advice to you if you plan to keep it, is to start learning up on how it works, or you may become a prime victim for asshats to rip you off. The forums are a very helpful, for LR3's in particular, DISCO3.CO.UK - Dedicated to Discovery 3 and LR3 Owners and Enthusiasts is a great technical resource. You can change your own oil and basic maintenance stuff - you don't need muscles and it's pretty easy to do.

Clogged sunroof drain is likely the cause of your leak. Here's a DIY for it DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - How to fix a Sunroof Leak! Not sure about your remote, possible there could be some wire corrosion from the leak or something.

Hey Amy... one bit of advice, if your truck wont unlock with the remote. you can pop the right side piece of the door handle off and expose the key hole to open it.
