My OEM Radio is beyond repair (tapes will not play only ejects, LCD cracked, etc...) so I replaced it with a Kenwood CD head unit and all was well until the front a/d/s speakers and sub woofer stopped working. This occurred during the initial test of the radio. At one point I lost power to the head unit so I removed the keys from the ignition and removed and reinstalled the radio harness. When the radio came back on, I noticed that the front speakers were not working.
Is there a fuse I don't know about that could be blown? I checked the fuse under the passenger seat and that was fine as well as the fuse on the a/d/s amp. I can't find any other fuse that would knock out the entire a/d/s system.
The two rear speakers work just fine. I checked the head unit to see if it was the problem. I did this by connecting the front speakers to the rear speaker wires on the head unit. I did not get sound with this configuration, but after reconnecting the wires correctly I now have the rear speakers working again.
Any help with this problem would be appreciated.
James
