thinking on a disco II

So I’m in the market for a new ride. And was thinking land rover why not.... I had a 96 disco for about 2 weeks, my old boss gave it to me as a bonus. I ended up selling it for $1800 at the time I have a 79 CJ7 and didn’t need another 4x4.that and it was pretty rough and I didn’t want to try and rebuild it. But I loved the way it was setup the sunroofs, can seat 7, and I got to play in a gravel pile a bit didn’t do to bad. So I was thinking about getting a newer one. 2000+. I had some ?s what kind of gas mileage do they get? who hard is it to put a lift on it? I was looking at 2 in. and bigger tires, but that depends on gas prices.
