Default Yet another one

This is my first post on this forum to introduce myself

I drive a '99 td5 fender with appropriate battlescars, got 180k on the clock and a few mods.
I hail from the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland in Australia and am a founder member of the GCLRO, a landrover owners club here with a very full trip calender - from day trips to Fraser island long weekends. I'll post some photo's when i have a chance.
My truck is called x-box - 'cause it's a box with the x-factor in it
So here i am and hope i can contribute something to this forum...... all i can say is that i'm a landy nut with all the quirks that come with it

but you have a lot of D3's now (in diesel) and what about the 07 model defenders? (all diesel too) We have a few D3's in our club and they are awesome offroad - first accessory though is a new set of offroad tyres.

Defenders haven't been available here since 97. I can only dream of the day that they come back to the states

I wish, the D3 or LR3 as its called in the US isn't available in Diesel either, and supposedly won't be available in the US until 2010.

Disco Fever and Army Rover - you both have to be kidding......

Why no diesel's????
The LR3's new TDV6 engine is a ripper and even the new '07 'fender's Ford-based engine has plenty power and meets all relevant emissions standards. Though i think the reason for no defender in the states has/had to do with airbags - which is now sorted with the new model 'fender.
What about RangeRover? Still no diesel??
Sheesh, the low-down torque and consumption of diesel 4X4's
You guys will have to come visit in Australia so you can smell some decent fumes
