Front diff breaks, vehicle will want to go, but won't. Disconnect the front drive shaft, and see if truck will want to move. Pull out the front axle shafts, so they are not engaging the diff, and truck would move. When I blew up the front diff in my DII, this is how we diagnosed it. Truck felt like it would not move at all. Disconnected the front drive shaft, and he at least tried to move. When we pulled the front axles, it moved, but there were so many parts bouncing around in the diff housing, we just got it on the trailer and brought it home. Of course if you can't lock your cdl you won't be able to test this way. Good luck.
