Actually, Moses, all NAS 110s were built in 1992, and sold here as model year '93.

I had the orig series one, I farmed in NZ, it was a 58 I think or 57 anyways just the last of them before the dreaded axle buster series 11 came along
I had lots series 11,s and many busted axles as these were wOrk horses, I also had a 3 seriies
Was,nt til, last year I had a good LR, the series 2 disco whcih I drove from Scotland to Turkey, twice
Shortcoming, (very short) is the lack of sleeping room when you a re caught out at night, the seat position fully reclined is poor and leg room bad, cant stretch out at all, and on the pax side a bloody great heater in way of feet
The BMW engine was great, as a diesel fitter by trade the beat of the 5 as it started a long pull on a motorway incline was very very distinctive, one that could only be given by a 5 pot engine
the complex systems with self leveling and air rear, amongst other things, made me wary of taking the Disco to remote lands, but it held up
As for traction, WOW!!
