As in all things; it's how you do it, and what products you use.

I got a car cover from eBay for my DII, years ago, and it is still in good shape, and still works well. The only problem is putting it on and taking it off, because of the truck's height. If I am going to let it sit for a few days, I put it on, but if I am going to drive it the next day, I leave it off.

if it is parked under some type of carport or garage, then a california car duster does wonders...if it sits out and dew settles on it overnight... then forget it... a good waxing will help a bit as well, especially makes washing easier than washing a non-waxed truck...
