I finally got around to trying some new things on my truck so I thought I'd whore it up a bit with some pictures. I'm not a professional detailer, just something I do in my spare time on my own stuff and for
family/friends.
In order:
Wash
Clay
Menzerna Super Intensive Polish - Orange CCS Pad w/ Porter Cable
Optimum Poli Seal - White CCS Pad w/ Porter Cable
Optimum Opti-Seal by hand w/ foam applicator
The Opti-Seal is pretty cool. Just wipe on and it dries clear.
I thought it came out pretty good. Definitely a good combo for non metallics. The Menzerna worked really well and broke down fine enough that I didn't need to step up from it. On black you may see a need to go over again w/ a finer polish like their Nano Polish.
In the process of detailing my D2 now. Have to say yours looks awesome.

Those Porter Cable polishers and the right chemicals can make a neglected paint job look like new paint. I love mine. Best of all the polisher does all the work. For the most part you're just hanging on.
