Default Shopping Cart Revenge!

Well, it looks like someone bumped a shopping cart into my ride and I want to know what to get to buff it out. No indentations or scratches. And I tried a regular rag and water to scrub it out without any luck..

Any thoughts or ideas?

try using soap, or rub it with your thumb.

I just did, my thumb dry, my thumb with spit, a washcloth with some soap - no dice!

you could always paint the whole rover the same color as the mark.

most auto parts stores sell rubbing compound. This stuff will completely remove the rub; but, use a very light hand or you will remove the skuff, the clear coat, and the paint!

Go pick up this at your local auto parts store won't hurt the clear and will more than likely remove the scuff. It's part of a 3 part system with a cleaner, polish and wax works pretty damn well and is fairly cheap.

Meguiar's Direct Deep Crystal® System Polish

It does work well! I use it frequently, especially after wheeling here, people are not a fan of keeping trails up and I always come out with fabulous stripes.

Oh man I would be out to get some little twats, that really sucks!

LandyII, stop by a dealer's body shop, or any ole body shop really, and ask (sweetly) if they can rub it out for you. I doubt they'll charge you, I've done it for a couple scuffs. Takes them 2 minutes, woahla

Sounds like a prefectly evil plane to me - hehehe! If they don't, I'll try the meguiars and some elbow polish -

;-)

You betcha!

Us girlies get away with sooooo much LOL

As luck would have it, the auto parts store is closer to me than a body shop, so I went for the Maguires ScratchX and here are the results, now I just have to apply a good coat of wax and I'm all set!
