Question 2.25 diesel engine fuel priming after line replacement

Howdy,

Just looking for some help with this. I had to replace a line that started leaking. I pulled it off, and have connected half of the new line.

I am unsure of what's next. Do I try to bleed the line to get the air bubbles out that I can see in the line to the injectors before connecting the other end of the line? Do I connect the line, and then bleed it?

How do I go about bleeding the lines? I read the manual but is not too clear

I have a picture of the fuel filter... what do I need to adjust to bleed the line from the pic?

Thanks in advance

Well, I slackened the air vent screw (the middle screw on top in the pic) and have been priming the system... lots of air bubbles in the line I see... do I keep the screw slackened and keep priming until all the air is gone?

That banjo bolt on top shouldn't be messed with. But the two small ones on the side of the housing are. Loosen them and keep priming until you no longer see bubbles. That should do the trick.
