My son has a jeep. Had to do a 4" lift AND trim the fenders to get 33" tires to fit. That's why there are a lot of Jeep lift kits. His Jimmy had about 3" suspension lift and 3" body lift for 33's.

A Land Rover Series comes stock with 32's and has room to spare. So why do a lift? 1" from Para's, different offset wheels and stuff 34 or 35's under her if you have the money and power.

Parabolics give a nice lift. Met with Ray at RockyMountain, and saw his 88"... very nice!!!

Ideally I'd love to go for something like 33.12.50 but these are expensive and not so easy to find in the UK. For a lot less money I can get a much better tread pattern in 265/75R16 or 235/85R16. Possibly a tad too small but I think I'll just have to wait and see. I've got some 33.11.50's on my Discovery and a set of 31.10.50's that Ii can try out and see if they fit, how they look and how they perform.
You can fit up to 35" on a series with extended hangars i ran an 88 with 900x16s them

just get some 1/4 flat bar and make your own thats what my trialler has as did my 88

I wouldn't want to put it on my truck, but it definitely gives you a lift.

If your looking to make a serious rig, get the gone to far kit and then go spring over axel. yout would need to either flip your wheels some how, or just go with a wider set of axles. If you went with something like a danna 44 or 60, it would be cheaper than buying lockers and stronger axles for a rover casing. the spring over can be done giving you only 4" of lift. and you could twist the diffs up to get ok angles for the driveshafts. it would be an big project but it would be fun. also anything over a 32 inch tire on stock rover axels it going to break all the time, no matter how softly you wheel.

You would have to go with cv driveshafts then or have SEVERE vibration and very short u-joint life. Very true about the axle part. I've broken a couple of 24 spline ones, though I have a locker and do play rather hard. Also broken 3-4 fronts.
