I know California has some tough regulations regarding diesel engines. I have heard they have recently enacted even tougher regs but I cannot seem to find them. I am in "negotiations" for a 1962 IIa 88 RHD diesel. It is currently registered in AZ. I believe it had a previous life in California. Will I be able to register it in California? If not, I don't want to waste my time, nor the current seller's time. Thanks.

Just call your DMV. I can't imagine CA would bar a '62 diesel though.
