HI ALL
ok hopfully be fitting a 2.5 land lump in me 109 at the week end so do i use my old 2 1/4 diesal flywheel and clutch with starter or do i use the 2.5 fly wheel clutch and starter ![]() |

Use whichever one is in better shape. Look for crazing on the surface of the flywheel, lay a straightedge accross the surface (though nothing beats a skim, true-up cut) If one disc is larger than the other (probably both 9.5") use the largest, and use the pressure plate that came with it. Earlier flywheels used two dowel pins to line up the presuure plate, later there are three. Pick the best looking starter whose commutator (not a common garden vegitable, but the copper segmented conductor on the end of the rotating part of the starter)
Did you sort out the possible defferences in the manifold side motor mounts? |

hi
still not show on the mounts just saw the engine for the first time today on a pallit nice and muddy... i need fuel lines to and from pump maybe from old engine may fit ....guy did say starter sticks some times but i got a good series one if that fits gonner replace cam belt and clutch befor fitting ,,,, thinking of just removeing front panal and rad to fit the engine she used to be a six pot petrol so thers loads of room to spare to get the lift.... being looking for down pipe on ebay so i can cut and weld a side exit pipe thought the side sill better then that long thing me 109 has got ....also need trottle cable from 110 becos looks miles diffrent to mine... carnt wait i no its about 6bhp better then the old log bunner i had in her so carnt go wroung go to be better on those hills on the m25 |
