HELP steering box woes - Land Rovers Only

Hey all,

So, i broke the Main Nut Assembly in my steering box. nothing too crazy, just making a u-turn and suddenly had no steering (felt like power steering but with no wheels turning). I guess i jinxed myself asking for some help on installing power steering.

The Main nut is no longer available so i am being forced to replace the entire steering box. No Problem, i would love to have some steering ability, but NO ONE has one. Tried every US parts dealer, only one i can find is for a 1 ton and the other has a bent steering column.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a England Site i can find this on, are they reliable? Have you used them before?

If anyone out there has a Right Hand Drive Steering box (preferably with the steering column), i would love to reach out and hug you with whatever you want for it. Are there parts you want to trade? Is there a donation you would take? Do you want some awesome series Karma?

The weather is great and i am in need of some rover time. I will pull my hair out if i miss the two months of decent weather here in seattle and dont get my rig back on the road.

I enjoy reading all these posts and it is a great source of info.

Might try PA Blanchard as well.
Or google "NRC5960". you'll get lots of hits.
