Default Limited Slip Rear Ends

Did Land Rover ever offer a limited slip front and rear end? My first vehicle was an International Harvester Scout and came with them. That thing could climb a tree. There wasn't a Jeep or a Rover in the world that could go by it. If any of you have ever driven one, you know what I mean. I would like to set up my rover that way if they are available.

Thanks

Yes, they offered a limited slip in the 60's, but it wasn't very popular.
A truetrac would be a good option. There are also locking diffs out of australia.

i didn't realize this was in the series section! but antichrist is right.

locking diffs out of australia? you don't mean aussie lockers do you? i emailed them a few months ago, but they said that rover differentials historical have far too much backlash to install an aussie.

ARB has lockers for Series Rovers. McNamara also does, but I think the ones they have are 24spline only, so you'd have to upgrade your axles too. But with lockers you'd want to anyway.

So am I right in concluding that there are no "limited slips" like the TruTrac Detroit unit for Series land rovers?

I'm pretty sure the TruTrac is available for the Series diffs.
