Series II, or IIa. The series III is not a real series. Silly plastic dash, and how are you supposed to grille on a plastic grill?

And it's not a plastic dash, it's padded As far as what you're looking for, well, it depends on just that - what type of Series are you looking for? If you're looking for a no-kidding project truck then there are tons of those around. If you're looking for something to do a rolling restoration on then your choices start slimming some. Exmods are sweet, and rare so that makes it even cooler but all the guys I know running MOD trucks gripe about how tough it is to get parts for them. I've been seeing a lot of Series II pickups popping up for sale here and there more and more. A lot of it is going to depend on what you're looking at doing with the truck and how you want to run it. If I were to do it again though, I'd be looking for something with an overdrive and both tops at a minimum because I like running open in the summer.

Hey, I happen to like the Series III.... Much more room in the dash for junk, better heater control and placement, speedo that you can see without taking your eyes right off the road (not that we ever have to worry that much about how fast we are going as speeding is basicaly out of the question....... as for grilling on the grill, well pick yourself up one of the Rocky Mountain metal grills. I put mine on for offroading, then switch back to the plastic when I am around town.
If you want a real rover, then get a series I....... ![]()

For you guys in the states, I still reckon that you would be better off importing them. You could fit 3 in a shipping container. So you could get 3 good ones into the states for less than $10,000 (for all 3). |

I have a 1975 Ex-MOD 109" that I would probably be willing to let go of. It was an FFR so it is 24V, RHD and in fairly good shape at that. Let me know you are interested and I can post some pics for you.
