Default Military Shackles

Does anyone have any military shackles they could post measurements of or a photo of one next to a standard series shackle? I went a little big on my new tires and I am thinking lengthening the shackles will alleviate some of the rubbing I get on the chassis from the front tires at full steering lock. Here's how it looks now.

If I could get it a little higher I'm thinking they will contact the chassis a little further up on the tire, letting me cut the wheel a bit more if needed.

I'll take some measurements on the two types of us army shackles I have here at the house and post up for you.

Later in the week I could roam around the motor pool and check some other ones if you'd like

I had to put 7" front shackles in order to almost level out my 109. the front still sits a 1/2 " low. But I have disco axles under it and the original cause for the lift was to prevent my diff from hitting the engine mount. I would guess you could add a couple inches to the shackles without too much trouble. The rear is a different story, as your steering is not affected, you can do as much as the drive shaft will take.

It just dawned on me that you were talking about spring shackles and that I'm a moron. Wrong type of shackles.....

I've got photos of the military shackles I got on my other computer. Let me dig the photo up tonight, and I'll try to post some kind of link for you. They were a lot longer than my 88 and about 3/4 of an inch, give or take a 1/4, longer than the 109 ones I had purchased. Went with military shackles, parabolic springs, and an SOA conversion. Ain't nothing rubbing, even with 35's. But then again, I don't have any body panels mounted yet. lol.
