Default My Modified Landy

Here are some new picks of my landy, just fitted 35"12-50 15" BFG, as you can see she now looks awsome. Here are the specs: 2.5 petrol motor, modified series 2a gearbox, electronic ignition, salisbury front and rear diffs, extended greasable shackles, long travel props with high angle yokes, parabolic springs.

what other kinds of modications were required to get the 35s in? it looked like a little trimming? wider offset wheels maybe? what kind of modifications were made the the gear box?

how's the turning radius with those wide tires/tyres? I'm guessing that's a stage 1 hood setup?

got the rims off-set, had to trim the front fenders a bit. The gearbox is a series 2a with series1 low transfer gears. Turning radius is not to bad due to the off set rims. Weather here is hot as hell, averaging about 30 degrees for the last few days with humidity about 90 percent.

Ha! I cannot believe it! Your 109 is very similar to mine! I never thought I'd see the day!!

There are a few differences but many similarities. Tire sizes are similar but I am running super swampers. Our drivetrain is almost the same but I am running rover front axle and my rear salisbury is locked. We've got the same suspension. Oh, and mine is a hard top.

I am glad to know I am not the only one out there.

with 35 inch tyres and a 2.25 motor, do you ever get it out of low range.

Yeah. All the time. My overdrive is pretty much useless now but other than that it still rolls ok. It takes me an extra 15 minutes to get to tellico since I am traversing back roads the entire way. But that is normally a 3 hour trip so not too much extra damage.

Talk about ground clearance.
