I am in need of some pictures of a 109 exhaust system... namely the supposed hole that the exhaust runs through in the cross member directly behind the transfer case. I need to fix this stupid exhaust that I got, and my frame does not have this hole that that has been eluded to, and I am going to have to add it. I would like to see what it looks like origninally before I "frankenstine" my frame. Thanks....

The PTO should run in the scallop above that hole (If you look through the PTO hole in the rear cross member, you can see that on a 109, the shaft actually goes above that member..) There has been some confusion about the exhaust hole, and people thinking it is the PTO... Hopefully someone has a 109 around that also has a digital camera.....

I'm not sure how different a military frame is, but I'll run out and grab some pictures in a second of ours.
Let me know if you need any others. I can get more detailed if you need it. ![]() ![]() |

the new galv. frames I got for either of my 109's didn't have that small hole that your exhaust runs through. Also, I bought a factor exhaust for one of then and it went outside the frame rail in between the front and rear wheels.

Looks like someone beat me to it, but I'll post these anyway. I just recently had a new system installed and I'm not sure if this is how it was from the factory, but I'm happy with it. It's a little different than cellulararrest's pics, but a second opinion can't hurt.
Cheers, George
