Comfort is a relative term.
After riding in military shit for the past 17+ years my series is as comfortable if not more comfortable than my tank or any wheeled tactical vehicle i have been in.

I agree with gunny, a series rover is pleanty comfortable. My friends who used to be series owners bag on series trucks all the time, they are just getting soft. They talk about their AC and their cd player, just a bunch of wimps, real men dont need comfort, Ha ha ha.

NEED... no one NEEDs a damn car..
Comfortable is reasonably quantifiable.. and the rover.. tanks.. and personnel carriers aren't. Tolerance for discomfort should not be confused with comfort. Though since I put a muffler and floor mats in .. its a lot nicer.. But not being able to straighten a leg without opening a door.. is not cool.

My jeeps used to do the same thing to me.. but I spent most of my time with my foot on the rock sliders/running boards.. installed just for the purpose... My motorcycles locked my knee up on occasion but you can swing your leg on occasion... But.. The rover doesn't really suit its self to going doorless.. esthetically but certainly would be nice. I do end up popping the door at stop signs occasionally when the knee just needs a "pop" to make me think its going to feel better for a while.

hmm.. really want RHD?
Postal contractor? Well to each their own. I'm not a fan. Prolly would have bought mine if it was the only one available locally and RHD.. but not if it were sitting side by side with the same in an LHD.

I've owned and driven Series Rovers for going on 35 years. Driven them all over the eastern and midwest US, from ME to GA. Winters in New England where it was so cold I had to put them in low range 1st to get them to move because the gearlube was so thick.
I'm fine with them as daily drivers. Many people who grew up with AC, radios in the car, good heat, high acceleration, lots of cup holders and all the other stuff that defines cars these days would be miserable with one as a daily driver. There are some people like me that don't need all that stuff and are fine with them as a daily driver.
