Quite a common conversion here in south africa, based on the nissan skyline 2.8 petrol motor, puts out about 67 Kw Rpm ?,170 Nm Rpm ?. Friend of mine fitted one to his landy a while back and loves it. Fuel consumption in the region of 9+km/l, overall a great conversion for a series landy. Just one drawback though over here you battle to find spares for them, here is a site with photos detailing the whole conversion,http://www.fortunecity.com/x-stream/...0/landconv.htm

They are a good solid engine when they are right, parts are a nightmare to obtain, rear crank oil seals do seem weak on the nissan diesels, many were grey imports from japan along with some mazdas and toyota lumps. |
