Default Removing Sun Shield from Double Roof

Hi Everyone, I am seeking to remove the sun shield from my double top roof, but I have a nearly original landy with a perfectly intact inside roof bonnet liner. If I unscrew the slot head screws from outside, with the nuts drop down on the other side of my bonnet or are they fixed to the underside of the main roof?

Thanks

Unfortunately …… There are washers and nuts attached to the slot head bolts…. You’ll need to remove the headliner or partially drop it down out of the way to gain access to them.

I dont think that is going to be an option, the vinyl finishing band, that covers the perimeter is glued in place and rather nicely...it wont survive after all these years if I mess with it. Thanks though! I will not get a decent spray just shooting up into that void. I've got to think this one through. Again, thanks.

Spray into the voids! The roof is a hell of a lot more than a few flat head screws. And my experience with removing the headliner, is DON'T.

Default Gregs advice...

is exactly what you should do. Spray into the void as best as you can. If you have a good headliner, leave it alone.
