Default s 3 gearbox removal

So I'm gonna take out the gear box this weekend. Gonna take her out and give it to a tranny shop along with the exploded parts diagram from wise owl for a rebuild.
I'll be taking it out from the cab, removed the seat box and plan on roping the GBox to a 4x4 post for removing. Take out the bolts and violla or what? Of cource I'll be keeping the xfer and clutch housing on jack stands mind you.

So my question is this? any tips tricks springs or other components that might "pop" out at me or is it a ------------>forward unbolt and pull.

Thanks for any advise, and if you live in NW FL I'll have free beer for help (tanglefoot) a new found brew by way of some of my SBS bros. Talk more later.

I think it would be easier to pull the complete Bellhousing, trans & T-case as one piece.
That's the way I did it.
As far as the rebuild. I did my own, I have about 4000 miles on it now with no problems.
There are a few springs and balls to watch out for just take your time and be careful.
I took pictures of the trans while disassembling and used the "Green Bible" to but it back together.
It is a pretty straight forward job.
The only tricky part I found is removing the clip on the main shaft tucked inside the 2nd or 3rd gear if I remember correctly.
I even have some spare parts as I rebuilt my Series IIa box into a Series III fully syncronized using a donor trans.

Take the transfer and tranny out as one, broken at the bell housing... it is not a complicated job to get out, just read the bible, follow the instructions... make sure you have a case of beer there for the guy that is helping you... I can take mine out, and put it back in during a long day now, (allowing a couple of hours of work on the cases..) Go to your local parts store that rents tools, and pick up an engine crane, it will make you life a lot easier to lift it out with that, however it is possible to do it with two people and some swearing (actually did a tranny swap on the side of the highway, by my self, so it is possible to do it alone, if neccessary, but not recomenndable...)
