The off side tie rod end worked itself loose and came undone during a jungle safari in Sri Lanka just before Christmas.
This appears to be a frequent problem with off roading Land Rovers. and the remedy in Sri Lanka is to spot weld the Tie rod end to the tube on the off side. What do you recomend? Regards Nilhan |

I've never heard of a tierod coming undone... as for spot welding it on, that might be a cure, but I would not want to be the one to have to take it off, or to adjust the alignment. Usually the problem is getting them loose in the first place when you need to change them. I think if it is a common problem in your area, that I might be using th torque wrench on it whenever I do my oil change..... just a thought..

Never heard of this before. Never had it happen, even on my Series that was use 100% off-road 5 days a week.
