Default Series 3 gearboxed fixed.

I thought I'd let you all know that I no longer have gear shift issues.
If you have seen my past posts you will know that one of my numerous problems was that I had difficulty shifting into 1st and 2nd, as you will also know my gearstick snapped off last week.

Well, funny thing is, now the stick has been replaced, she shifts in and out of any gear with ease. I have not had one gear jam since this was done and here's my theory; when comparing the old shifter where it went into the box and the new one there was a distinct and obvious difference, this being that on the new stick, there was the bulb of medal with the grove in it for the nylon washer as you would expect, on the old one, not only had the washer long since gone but so had most of the bottom of the stick. This would result in insufficient travel when selecting gears hence the problems I was having.
That might be a load of old equine doo doo but it sounds good to me

Cheers All

Nic
