Do you know that in BC and most other jurisdictions in North America, they are legal to have on your vehicle if mounted in specified positions but aren't legal to have turned on while you drive around on the road?

They are legal to drive while on, only if the visibility is so poor that your headlights are ineffective. Meaning there is so much glare from the headlights in the fog or snow that you can't see properly and have slowed down so much that using the fog lights will illuminate the immediate surrounding area so you can creep along. Fog lights by definition, should be used with park and side lights on but headlights off to reduce glare. Means you are driving about ten miles an hour to be safe.

If you are driving a Series Land Rover, there is a place on the headlight switch to take a feed so they only come on with the park lights and turn off if you put the headlights on.

Thumbs up

Thank you for that informative reply Greg S

pickuprover, foglights... I am looking for something that won't be too ricey... but when I look around I only seem to find the ricey looking foglights.
